WHCAARC Celebrates America’s 250th Independence Day with Special Event Station
The White House Communications Agency Amateur Radio Club (WHCAARC) is proud to announce its Independence Day 250 Special Event Station, commemorating two and a half centuries of American freedom, service, and sacrifice.
From June 28th through July 5th, WHCAARC operators will be active across multiple amateur radio bands using SSB, CW, and digital modes. This nationwide activation invites amateur radio operators from all backgrounds to join in honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
Operating under the callsign W3H, club members will transmit on bands ranging from 10 to 80 meters, with real-time updates available via popular spotting networks. Whether you prefer voice, Morse code, or digital communications, WHCAARC will be on the air and ready to connect.
Participants who make contact during the event are eligible to receive a commemorative certificate. To request yours, please visit whitehousecomms-arc.org for instructions. A $5.00 donation is kindly requested to help cover printing and mailing costs; any remaining funds will support the club’s website and outreach efforts.
WHCAARC is a non-partisan organization composed of current and former members of the White House Communications Agency — a military unit that provides global communications support to the President of the United States. The club includes officers and enlisted personnel from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, united by a shared commitment to technical excellence, emergency readiness, and public service.
This special event station is more than a celebration — it’s a tribute to the enduring values of liberty, professionalism, and national service. Through the spirit of amateur radio, WHCAARC continues to give voice to history, honor, and community.
