WHCA ARC – Forum Use Policy

The White House Communications Agency Amateur Radio Club (WHCAARC) provides online forums to support discussion, learning, and community engagement related to amateur radio. By participating in the forums, you agree to follow this Forum Use Policy in addition to the site’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Purpose of the Forums

The forums exist to:

Support amateur radio discussion
Share knowledge, resources, and technical insights
Provide a respectful environment for WHCAARC members and visitors
Encourage collaboration and learning

Participation is a privilege, not a right.

2. Expected Conduct

All forum users must:

Treat others with respect
Keep discussions civil and constructive
Stay on topic within each forum category
Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations
Use appropriate language
Report issues or violations to moderators

Harassment, personal attacks, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not post:

Defamatory, abusive, or threatening content
Hate speech or discriminatory remarks
Pornographic, obscene, or adult material
Malware, harmful links, or malicious code
Spam, advertisements, or commercial promotions
Political campaigning or unrelated activism
Attempts to impersonate WHCAARC, WHCA, or any government entity
Attempts to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts

Posts violating these rules may be removed without notice.

4. Callsigns and Identity

Providing your callsign is optional unless required for specific technical discussions.
If you choose to provide one, it must be accurate and belong to you.

Impersonating another operator is strictly prohibited.

5. Moderation

Moderators may:

Edit or remove posts
Move posts to appropriate categories
Issue warnings
Restrict or suspend accounts
Permanently ban users for severe or repeated violations

Moderation decisions are final.

6. User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

The content you post
Ensuring your posts comply with FCC rules
Protecting your personal information
Reporting harmful or suspicious activity

WHCAARC is not responsible for user‑generated content.

7. Data Handling

Forum posts are stored as part of the site’s public record.
If you request account removal, your posts may remain unless they contain personal information that must be deleted for privacy reasons.

8. Security and Unauthorized Access

Any attempt to:

Breach security
Access restricted areas
Circumvent authentication
Probe or scan systems
Exploit vulnerabilities

Violations of this policy
Security concerns
Administrative decisions
