INFORMATION SECURITY POLICY – USER-GENERATED CONTENT

Applies to: All users, members, and guests who post, upload, or submit information
- PURPOSE
This policy defines what information users may and may not place on our platform/systems. Its purpose is to protect sensitive data, prevent security breaches, comply with law, and maintain the integrity of our community. - SCOPE
This policy applies to all content submitted by users, including: posts, comments, messages, file uploads, images, profile information, form submissions, and links. - GENERAL PRINCIPLE
Do not post anything that you do not have the right to share, that could harm others, or that could compromise security. When in doubt, do not post it. - UNCLASSIFIED INFORMATION ONLY – INSECURE SYSTEM NOTICE
This is an INSECURE, UNCLASSIFIED system. Only unclassified information that has been approved for public release may be placed on this platform. The posting of classified information (Confidential, Secret, Top Secret), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), For Official Use Only (FOUO), or any other sensitive or non-public information is strictly prohibited and must never occur on this insecure site. - ACCEPTABLE CONTENT
The following is acceptable to place on the platform:
a) Your Own, Non-Sensitive Content
Original text, opinions, and experiences you own
Business-related information that is public and non-confidential
Images and files you have created and have full rights to
b) Public Information
Information that is already lawfully public
Properly attributed quotes with citation and fair use
Links to legitimate, public websites
UNACCEPTABLE CONTENT – PROHIBITED INFORMATION
The following is strictly prohibited and will be removed. Accounts posting this may be suspended.
A. Sensitive Personal Information (PII) – Yours or Others
Social Security Numbers, driver’s license, passport, or national ID numbers
Passwords, security questions/answers, private keys, auth tokens, or alarm codes
Private addresses, personal phone numbers, or personal email addresses (doxxing)
B. Security Threats & Malicious Content
Malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or malicious scripts
Phishing links or deceptive URLs
Instructions or tools to hack, bypass authentication, or exploit systems
Attempts to probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities of the platform
C. Illegal & Harmful Content
Content that violates federal, state, or local law
Threats of violence, harassment, bullying, or hate speech
Child sexual abuse material or sexual content involving minors
Content that promotes fraud, theft, or other crimes
Spam, pyramid schemes, or unauthorized advertising
D. Inappropriate Data Practices
Uploading files that contain hidden metadata with PII
Posting screenshots that contain sensitive data in the background
Using steganography or other methods to hide prohibited information
Bulk scraping or automated collection of user data
- USER RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify Before Posting: Ensure you have the right to share the content.
Redact & Minimize: Blur, black out, or remove sensitive data from images and documents before uploading.
Use Secure Methods: Do not post sensitive data in public forums to ask for help. Use designated secure channels.
Report Issues: If you see prohibited information, report it immediately to support@whitehousecomms-arc.org and do not share it further. - ENFORCEMENT
We reserve the right to:
Remove any content that violates this policy without notice
Temporarily or permanently suspend accounts that violate this policy
Report illegal activity to law enforcement
Cooperate with legal requests for information
Violations will be assessed based on intent, severity, and risk to others.
- HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We will:
Encrypt data in transit and at rest
Restrict access to user content to authorized personnel only
Monitor for prohibited data patterns
Notify users if their information is involved in a breach as required by law
We will never ask you for your password in a post or public message.

By placing information on this platform, you agree that:
You are responsible for the content you post
Your content does not violate this policy
You understand that public content may be seen by anyone
